LAUNCHING A BORDER COLLIE – AT PRAIRIE WOLF DOG PARK

BORDER COLLIE LAUNCH!

BORDER COLLIE LAUNCH!

I know…it is shocking, just SHOCKING.  You’d better be sitting down for this news, this revelation, this BIG announcement.  Drum roll, please…here it comes…F-O-R-T-I-E-S (as in the number 40) and sunny at Prairie Wolf Dog Park, today.  And Brandy invited herself, too.  Well, let’s be honest, My Dad does like her…especially her VERY intense amber eyes.  And my good buddy GRYFF was here today, too!  We recognized each other immediately and had some great wrestling and pursuit games…he is VERY fast!  I talked to Franky for a couple of minutes…we had something in common…both of us are rescued dogs, both of us are Border collies.  Franky is red with a white star on his chest.  He said he was adopted from Wright-Way Animal Rescue.  He said he was VERY happy to get out of their.  I told Franky about being picked up as a stray in Quincy, IL and how wonderful the garbage was at the truck-stop where I was taken into custody.  My Dad bought me a Culver’s hamburger for lunch.  I asked him for two, but a hamburger and a Chewnola for lunch was OK.

The first play-fighter of the day was this guy. I take on all comers.

  1. My little miss Mandi Melody, Now six months old (has it been that long already?) and fully grown at 28.6 pounds with all her big girl teeth, is sable and white with a heart on the top of her head. She played in the snow for the first time this week and thought it was the next best thing to chewing ice cubes! Snow was almost as tall as she is, but she loved running and jumping in it. Love your interpretations of the puppy play.

    • When Magic came into rescue, he was thought to be around 3 to 4 years old. When my vet took a look at him in December, she said, “He’s a baby, 8 to 12 months – tops.” Just a look at those brilliant white teeth says a lot. Glad you like the photos. My Sony camera takes multiple exposures each time I press the shutter…sometimes I am very surprised by the unique action shots I have captured. Enjoy your Miss Mandi. Magic says, HI! Tom and Magic

  2. Hi Guys,

Wish you were in Germany. Could do with the company. The local Hunds can be a bit stern for my liking, my family are Australian and have taught me to be a bit more laid back. The local hunds cant take a joke well and steel my ball every chance they get. My Humans and the neighbor Humans are good though and I do get to run in the forest which is just across the road!

    • Hey Ralph! I see you are a smooth-coat…too bad. I will steal your ball to get you to chase me, and then I will give it back. Running in the forest sounds like FUN. Look out for the crocs! -Magic
